Old Monastery Walem: After years of vacancy, the historic monastery at Koning Albertstraat 60-62 in Walem (Sub-municipality of Mechelen (Belgium)) is getting a new future. Mechelen is honouring one of its most iconic residents, Louis Neefs, with a new work of art. The bronze bust of the cabaret singer, located under the majestic Sint-Romboutstoren tower, was installed in consultation with the family.
