Most Beautiful Tree of Mechelen: Another green champion! The monumental two-oak in Bleukenweg has been declared the city’s most beautiful tree in 2024. This majestic tree, actually an intertwined twin, not only enchanted the judges with its impressive appearance, but also the hearts of many Mechelenians.

Why exactly this Oak Tree?
The judges chose this oak because of several factors:
- Unique shape: The fused trunk is a rare natural phenomenon that gives the tree a special appearance.
- Age and size: The oak is one of the oldest and largest trees in Mechelen.
